Seasonal Care Tips to Keep Your Spa Running Longer

One of the best things about owning a spa is you can use it all year long. Whether you’d like to warm up during the cold winter or get out of the dry heat of the summer, you’ll want to make sure your spa receives seasonal maintenance so that it will last for many years to come. Here are some tips to help keep your spa running during each season of the year.

Spring

The spring season brings many allergies and rainstorms. Your spa can help alleviate any congestion from allergies or the flu. That’s why it’s important to make sure your spa is protected so you can receive these and many other benefits. Make sure to keep an insulated cover on and stretch a tarp over your spa to keep the rainwater out.

Summer

Soaking in your spa during the summer will help you to get out of the dry heat. Utah nights are cooler in the summer as well so the spa can help you relax, especially if you’ve been out in the sun all day. The heat of the summer can damage your spa, though, if it’s not properly maintained. You’ll want to keep your spa underneath an umbrella or a tarp to prevent wear and tear on the exterior. Make sure a cover is on your spa as well to keep the sun from evaporating the water inside.
